What is the Elizabeth House? It is more than a soup kitchen. Services offered to those in need are:
Hot Meals everyday
Food Pantry for families
Promotes State/County services to prevent hunger and homelessness in Laurel, MD.
Operates 24 hours answering requests for help. (301-262-7106).
Provides help to families in crisis and emergency situations.
Hope Baptist Church has served in this capacity for many years and has made a difference in other people lives who come to this house for help.

Lottie Moon whose birth name was Charlotte Diggs Moon was born Dec 12th, 1840 in Virginia. Her name is known for her passion to help the international missions located in foreign countries. Lottie Moon challenged Southern Baptist to go to China or give so others could go. By 1888, SB women had organized and helped collect $3,315 to send workers needed in China. Let's tell the story by helping our missionaries in foreign countries share the Good News of Christ. Our goal is $1,000. Just fill out the envelope in the foyer and place it in the offering plate. Designate it to LMCO.
