Anniversary

Linda Townsend Connie Frazier and Jean Robinson (not pictured) were among a few of the first Charter members of HBC in 1987 when a mission work began in the North Laurel Community.

Hope Baptist Church celebrated it's 20th Anniversary throughout 2007. Starting with an Anniversary weekend with a formal banquet and worship service with messages from formal pastors challenging HBC to look forward in the continuous service to God in the Laurel communities. The Anniversary quilt is proudly displayed in the front stairwell and with the signatures of HBC families. Organizing recipes to create a HBC Cookbook dedicated to our dear sister and charter member Jean Robinson who went home to be with the Lord this year. The summer picnic was a warm and sunny afternoon at High Ridge Park where there was a nostalgia game of what happened in 1987. The memorable Christmas ornaments denoting our anniversary year were distributed following the Hope Choir Christmas musical presentation and the Family Christmas Program. These were just some of the events that will hold memories for each of us for many years. (See next page for more pictures of Anniversary dinner.)
